I need a new hair style and color. My face is very long and I have a large forehead....What would you suggest

I am going to get a wet cut with my normal hair dresser today because I don't have much $ but I cant wait any longer to get my hair fixed in some way. And after i get the cut I'm going to home color it I havent chose a color yet, I'll go to cvs after I get it cut. I havent used a home kit since highschool, I usually get highlights because I'm naturally really light blonde but I sont have the $100 this month. Does any on have any ideas what will look good, any Pictures I can bring with me tonight?

I want to try to keep most of my length because its taken years and years to grow (my hair hates growing past my shouldres...LOL) and my husband loves blonde so I'll stay as light as I can but still with a change....LOL....I don't know I just need a change to get out of this rutt!!!

Hi there. I'm like you. Fine hair, wide forehead, blonde, and I like to keep it long.





First, to cover my wide forehead, bangs work. You should try them. You could also get some front layers - but layers only. Not short on the sides, like a mullet though. You'll look awesome!


Second, don't go to a hairstylist. I paid $80 - $120 myself, and my highlights always turned out yellow, or orange.





Do your hair yourself. Go to a CVS or Walmart and get L'Oreal Preference - Great product. They also have 'Dream Blonde' out now. Their conditioner is great, too.


2nd, Don't buy anything 'Ultra Blonde' - It has too much peroxide in it. Go for a Very Light Beige or Ash blonde.


That'll tone down any brassiness. For ash, stick with very light, just not ultra. Nothing medium though, or it'll turn dark on you.





Thirdly, colour your hair before you get it cut, as colouring does damage, especially on the ends, so when you get it cut, they'll snip away those parts.

my friend has a face kinda that shape, and she dyed it black a couple years ago and it works for her. but you said you wanted to stay light, so i think you should just stay blonde, it looks good.
i suggest getting a few long layers and maybe razoring some of it so that it wont appear so thin. as for color, maybe a dirty blond.
u should get bangs,longer bangs.straight hair makes your face look longer,so,try curl it.You could even style it 20's style.old fashioned,but very chic.:D
I like it they way it is now too. Maybe a trim for split ends
