I like the first one.

You are hot;]
I agree with Lexii. Love the long hair!
The most complementary style for your heart shaped face is the one when you were ';younger.'; It is also the one that you look oldest in. The reason it fits you best is that the sides are close to the head. In the long haired photo with the hair down to your eyes and bulking out at the sides, your face appears round. Even the added contour from hair bulking out from the sides on the ';short hair'; pic as compared to the shorter hair in the ';younger'; pic changes the way the skull shape and face shape are perceived.

';Heart: The heart shaped face is broadest across the cheekbones and has a wide, broad forehead. It is narrow at the jaw line and wide at the eyes. The jawbones curve either to an oval or pointed chin that completes the heart shape. Almost any style is becoming on this normal type of face.The hair may be either short or long, but preferably a little fuller on the top than on the sides.';

I suggest a regular taper cut with the hair brushed to the side and mostly off the forehead, an ivy league, crew cut or forward brush. If you like short hair, then since it is summer and shorter than usual hair is appropriate, try an ivy league(long crew cut). It will give you the option of : 1)wearing your hair brushed back off the forehead to form a short pompadour front, which I think might be a very fitting short haired look for you; 2) parting the hair and brushing it to the side; 3) wearing the bangs combed down on the forehead like a forward brush. If you don't like an ivy league, you can have a short taper in 6 weeks by getting the back and sides tapered for two haircuts assuming you get a haircut every three weeks. If you want to go shorter, try a crew cut or flat top crew cut. With an ivy league, the hair at the front hairline should be about 1.5';, graduated to about 5/8'; at the back of the crown, but it really depends on the shape of a guy's skull. The idea with all crew cuts is for the outline of the hair to approach the horizontal when the hair is brushed back off the forehead to form a short pompadour front, and the head is viewed in side profile, and to contour to the skull shape to varying degrees when viewed face on. The outline of the top of a flat top crew cut appears horizontal when viewed face on as well as in side profile. In contrast to a crew cut, a butch haircut aka buzz cut perfectly contours to the skull shape as it is cut one length across the entire top. There is not much a barber can do if the skull shape, face shape, neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features are not in perfect harmony when cutting a butch haircut, which is why most guys do not fully suit a butch cut but are complemented by a well designed short pompadour style: crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut.

See this answer for an explanation of the classic short styles. Be sure to open the first two links contained therein:

Whichever style you decide on, take a few photos to help describe it to the barber or stylist. Don't rely on haircut terms alone. To determine hair lengths in photos, compare the hair length to the face length or vertical height of the ear and adjust proportionally. Assume most faces are in the 7'; to 9'; range, from the hairline to the tip of the chin, and ears are in the 2.5'; -3'; range. For some of the short styles it is advisable to ask around to learn of a barber who is adept at cutting them. If you need more photos let me know.

Good Luck!
