Sorry I had to redo this question a 3rd time I have better links I PROMISE!



I am 22 years old, I know NOTHING about hair. and I NEED a new hair style. People think I am 16 or 18 years old. And when I put my hair in a ponytail my friends at work say they LOVE my hair like that and that I look like a 5 year old. I HATE putting my hair in a ponytail because my face is long. UGH! I don't know WHAT to do. I have 2 pics, one is with my hair down. The other with my hair in a ponytail. I'm thinking about MAYBE going shorter. But I'm not sure! I might keep the same length. Idk, but whoever gives the best pics that would look good on me, will get a GUARANTEED 10 Points!!!!!!!!!!!

On the In Style website they have a program where you upload a picture of yourself and you can try on different hairstyles, its very easy and looks realistic. this can really help you experiment and find a style you like. once you find one you like print the picture and bring it with you the the hairdresser so you get the cut you want. Also as your hairdresser is styling your hair watch closely and ask questions so you can recreate your new look at home.

I think bangs may help make your face look less elongated because they'll cover 1/3 of it. If you're not up for bangs, try a long bang swept to one side and that will still cover a bit of your forehead. It'll always grow back.



Also, try to go more natural with your brows; they don't come together enough in the middle...a bit overplucked.

If you think your face is long I would suggest getting bangs. Probably side bangs. This will also solve the problem of you not liking your hair up, because it will cover some of your face so it is not as exposed while you still look your age by having your hair up.
