African american hair? new hair style?

ok so i go back to school this september and this year ill be a freshman so i want to try something different. my mom is very strict about me cutting my hair and i only cut it once before this and i liked it. my hair is still growing back from that but anywho....what are some cut styles that aren't to short or what are some styles that don't involve me cutting my hair off.

I really like the second look. and as an african american girl with a strict momma, i know how it is with the hair cutting, lol.



maybe see if she'll let you get some small layers on the ends? nothing too drastic, but enough that with a curling iron you can flip them out or in depending on your mood. that's what I did with my first hair cut.African american hair? new hair style?
